WooooooooHoooooooo!

What a great day. This floor has been so wonderful. We couldn't ask for more caring nurses. We both slept well last night. Only a few challenges. That fold out bed that I have been talking about for days - was broken! Good thing Mechanic Missy is staying here. Fixed the bed and slept like a dream. So much better than the last few nights. At least until Mark woke me up when he was pulling his central line out. He slept well otherwise.
Dr Crim came this morning and had only good things to say. He removed the drain from Mark's incision and removed the dressing. He advanced his diet to full liquids. Yeah. Cream of Wheat for breakfast. House Surprise for lunch! (We had to have that taken away because it was not quite fit to eat.) Ice cream and pudding now. Dr. Crim said he can be out of bed. He is concerned about him being up with his blood pressure being low, but will allow him up with help. His chest x-ray was clear and he has had no more fever. He still has good pain control with his pump and IV medications.

We promptly got up, shaved, brushed teeth, and washed hair. It was quite a workout after having been in bed for so long. He doesn't have a whole lot of energy, but he is determined. And he sure smells good now too.

He's sleeping now. More Later, Missy

WOW!!! What wonderful news!! I just hope you know how many people are checking this blog, praying for you, and having your family in our uppermost thoughts this week. If Jerry is away from the house and talks to me on the phone, he always ask "Is there any new news on Mark?" When he walks in the house if I can't tell him that I just checked and there is no news, he heads straight to the computer to see if you have blogged since I checked. We are all so anxious to know everything that is going on that we need Missy blogging 24 hours a day.(JK) We really do appreciate the way you are keeping us updated. I am absolutely floored at how good Mark looks in the pictures (of course when you are that handsome it just can't be helped). It's great to see the happy family smiling. I'm praying that the rest of today will go great and that things are TOTALLY on the way uphill. Keep doing what needs to be done to get you home and we will keep praying. We love you and praise God for HIS RICH BLESSINGS!!! Wanda Hester

Geat news today! I am so thrilled that things are going well. It was great to see the kids were able to visit. I know that helped to ease some anxieties on their part. We will continue to pray for a quick recovery.

Love seeing the positive update and the wonderful pictures. I know that seeing the kids was Mark's BEST medecine.
Our continued prayers are that each day be better and better.
Missy, thank you so much for posting on the blog. I check often to see our my dear cousin is doing and I know many others are too. I bet Mark didn't know he had so many people that cared about him and loved him like this, but we sure do.
Keep on fighting Mark Brown! That's what you do best!!!!

We are thanking God for the answered prayers and are continuing to trust him for every little detail. Missy You Rock! I am so thankful for you! God not only blessed Mark when He sent you, he also blessed our family. Thank you for your faith and determination. God will provide! See you tomorrow! Big Sis Judy

Oh my gosh, that is so wonderful! You guys must be in everyone's prayers and the prayers must be working. Tell Mark to keep up the good spirits and that we are thinking about you guys. Take care of yourself too Missy ... I hope Mark knows how lucky he is to have Mr. Missy in his life :)
