The doctor has been by.

Dr Crim was here this morning to check on Mark. He went over his plan which is to look for sources for his fever. They drew the blood cultures, but will not have prelim results for 24 hours. He started the antibiotics also. He saw what Mark was coughing up and is doing a chest x-ray as well. Blood pressures are still low. He is back up in the chair today and seem to like getting to move around. Dr Crim said he would start some liquids today.

The pathology is also back from surgery. There was a second lesion near the area of the original one. also there was a third area of dysplasia. All of these have been removed completely. There were 36 lymph nodes in the tissue removed. There was cancer in 4 of those. This means that he will have the chemo treatments following this surgery. We had suspected this and are looking at 6 months of iv chemo treatments.

We are getting along well and appreciate your concern. I know everyone would rather be "doing" something to help. Please know that all of you prayers and caring thoughts warm our hearts daily. It really does more than you can imagine. Even Mark wanted the computer at his bedside yesterday. (I think he was concerned what I had been saying about him!).

More news as it occurs. Love, Missy.

Everybody at Jerry's Scoreboard is thinking about you. (I even wear that blue bracelet when it doesn't match!!) Thoughts and prayers from all of us are coming your way!

I didn't just jump back on the bike and win. There were a lot of ups and downs, good results and bad results, but this time I didn't let the lows get to me.

Mark,
Neil & Marcy got me onto your blog and I have been following your progress. Sounds like your spirits are up and that you are focusing on getting better. It's going to be a long journey, just take it one day at a time and focus on the many blessings of the Father. Know that you are His shining light and others are blessed because of your's and Missy's testimony through it all. Praying for you daily,
Paula (Waggoner) Leonard

Missy, thanks for keeping everyone posted. I've been following along for a long time now and praying every day.

Mark, please know that all of your childhood friends and classmates are thinking of you and praying for you. I'm happy to still see that mischievous sparkle in your eyes - we all know the one . . .

We love you!

Mark and Missy,

You and Your family continue to be in our prayers. Thank you so much for the updates. Many from our congregation ask on a bi-weekly basis. I hope that the Drs' find the source of the fever soon, and you are able to rest comfortably.
