My dear Nelda. It is Sunday morning you know. No time for blogging when you are trying to get some tired folks up for church. And, of course, after church comes food and I am very sorry, but that must come first as well! The turnout for the Relay for Life was good. Mark was very well represented. Definitely a testimony to how many people he has touched and he has on his side. So many of his family were able to come and many of his classmates as well. We had a great visit with many and the wind was just a bit more tolerable this week than it was in Archer. The 3p-3a time seemed to work out well, especially the getting out a little bit early part. Not quite as hard on the body. The entertainment was enjoyable, we even got to hear Cindy (Mark's sister) sing which is always a treat. There was also plenty of good food and more than enough sweets. Many miles were walked and I would imagine that there could even be a few people suffering from use of some muscles that hadn't been exercised in a while. Won't mention any names (Joe or Neil), but it is amazing what youth the "last lap" brings out in some people. I think the last tally I heard for the relay was over $22,000.00. Our team the M and M team (Miracles for Mark) contributed $3800.00 at last report to me. I am sure Cindy will have a final to report , so be watching the comments. Many thanks to all who worked so hard on this project. I know the commitment it takes and we are honored that you would do that for Mark. Thanks for all you do. We love you all.

IT WAS WONDERFUL TO SEE THE MARK BROWN FAMILY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH AT MUNDAY IN THE BROWN PEW WITH THE BROWN CREW.
WE WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE THE 'HANDS ON' THAT WE HAVE LONGED FOR, BUT BUSTER IS STILL HELPING ME TO OUR VEHICLE AFTER MY SURGERY. I DO NOT LIKE BEING A WIMP, BUT I AM GRATEFUL FOR EACH DAY'S IMPROVEMENT. IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT EVERYONE THERE WANTED 'HANDS ON', TOO. . . . SO WONDERFUL TO HAVE YOU AT THE SUNDAY SERVICES.
I SHARED WITH THE RUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS ABOUT LANDON'S WONDERFUL BLOGGING JOB. LADIES THAT I 'TEACH' ARE FRANCES CYPERT, LARUE REEVES, PEGGY HERTEL, RUBY MEERS, AND ZONELL MOORE. BOY, HAVE I LEARNED A LOT.

Wow, that is awesome. I am sorry I haven't been able to make it out to any of the events. Hopefully I can coordinate for the next time I am back home. I am so happy things are going good. If you guys ever get the urge to take a trip to the west coast be sure and let me know.
